About me
I have worked for the NPS for the last 2 and a half years. I got my start in the park service through the Mosaics In Science internship program back in 2021. Through Mosaics I had an amazing opportunity to work at Rocky Mountain National Park where I was using GIS to collect data on Visitor Use Impacts. Following the conclusion of that internship, in 2022 I graduated from Drake University with a double degree in Environmental Science and Politics. Shortly after graduating, I accepted a position at the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area doing Interpretation as a park guide. I worked in the Santa Monica Mountains for about a year, then in 2023, I accepted a summer seasonal Park Ranger (Interpretation) position at Yosemite National Park. In April of 2024, I returned to Yosemite as an Interpretive Park Ranger with a focus on Yosemite's deaf services. I hope to continue my parks service career eventually returning to the physical science and resource management side of work.
