About me
Kelly Kim is a Recruitment Specialist in the Department of the Interior’s Office of Human Capital (OHC) in Washington, DC. Kelly manages outreach campaigns to increase employee recruitment, retention, and engagement and works to brand the Department as an “Employer of Choice.” Prior to this role, Kelly coordinated national AmeriCorps and internship programs as the Youth Program Manager with the DOI Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSMRE). She has over 15 years of experience in community engagement, managing programs, communications, and event coordination for local government, museums, and non-profits. Kelly is passionate about increasing diversity and engaging young people in public service.
Kelly is a lifetime member of the Federal Asian Pacific American Council (FAPAC) and previously led the Conference, Program, and Public Relations committees. Kelly also volunteers with the FAPAC-DOI Chapter, Cal State DC Scholars Advisory Board, Cal State DC Alumni Network, California State Society, and Presidential Management Fellows Advisory Board. Kelly received a Bachelors in Public Administration from California State University Fullerton. Kelly lives in Northern Virginia and enjoys going on adventures with her partner Zach, daughter Mia, and rescue pup Sadie. Connect with Kelly on LinkedIn.
