Elrand D. Denson started is his current position in August 2020. He oversees the Land Stewardship portfolio which encompasses Lands Special Uses to include: Wired and Wireless Communications, Renewable Energy, Electric Transmission, Oil & Gas Pipelines, Recreation Residence, Commercial Filming & Still Photography, Hydropower and National Billing. He has held the position of District Ranger on the Bankhead Ranger District in Alabama and the Houston/Rolla/Cedar Creek Ranger District of the Mark Twain National Forest in Missouri. He has been employed with the Forest Service for 30 years in various locations such as: Alabama, Colorado, Wyoming, North Carolina and Missouri. He has held several positions within the Forest Service starting as a Public Affairs Specialist, Hotshot Firefighter, Realty Specialist, Hydropower Program Manager, District Ranger and National Lands Special Uses Program Manager, as well as a host of special detail assignments. He was born in Andalusia AL. and is a graduate of Alabama A&M University.
