Internship Career and Leadership Workshop 2025
Welcome, interns, to the Career and Leadership Workshop!
This workshop is a key component of your internship program, offering a week-long opportunity to expand your knowledge of various career fields while honing your leadership skills. Throughout the week, you will join fellow interns in showcasing the outcomes of your summer projects through presentations.
You’ll also have the chance to connect with industry professionals through engaging panel discussions, skill-building sessions, and interactive activities. This workshop is designed to enrich your experience and evaluate the program’s impact—celebrating successes and identifying opportunities for future improvement.
We hope you make the most of your time in Washington, DC. Take advantage of this incredible networking opportunity, and don’t forget to have fun!

The exhibit areas feature approximately 100 historical artifacts, interpretive panels, looping videos of photos and archival footage, and interactive elements for visitors of all ages. Visitors can explore an interactive touchscreen tour of the White House, view over 90 artifacts from the White House collection, and view the 14-minute film, "White House: Reflections From Within."

Tour of National Parks MIS/GOGA- Anacostia River Explorers Boat

Enjoy a scenic tour of the National Parks, featuring an exciting boat trip with the Anacostia River Explorers. Discover nature's beauty and learn about this unique area!

Meeting Location: 3 pm White House
· From White House by car ~30 min depending on traffic)
· We’ll be taking 3-4 large Uber vehicles.
What to Wear/Bring: We recommend dressing appropriately for the weather and bringing water, a hat, and sunscreen.
Note: 
  • All tours are weather-dependent. We will proceed in light rain but may need to cancel if there is heavy rain, lightning, or strong wind in the forecast.
  • If you are sick or exhibiting symptoms associated with COVID-19 (such as fever, chills, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing, loss of taste or smell, etc.), please do not come to the event and consider joining us another time.
After the boat tour, interns are free to return to the hotel by Uber or Metro. Dinner is on their own.
